Youtube Live!

Congratulations to Youtube on the first annual Live event. While there were some misplaced censor beeps and a minor trip up here or there, overall it was a success. Many will say that the Youtube Community was hardly represented by the lineup. Acts included Katy Pery, Myth Busters, Will.I.Am, Julia Nunes and the Ukele band, Esmee Denters, Soulja Boy Tell’em, and Akon to name a few.

Appearances also included Will it Blend, Chad Vader, Fred, some young professional sport stackers and of course, our very own Vlog Team (I believe they called it) Michael Buckley, William Sledd, Lisa Nova and Katers17. Tay Zonday (Chocolate Rain) acted as MC, and I thought he did a terrific job, he truly does have that special voice.

Fred and Sledd I could have done without. Now finally having heard Fred speak without the aide of audio editing, I now realize his voice is only slightly less annoying and perhaps one less note deeper in person, albeit, not by much.

I thought they did a pretty good job for the first live event and likely it will only improve in the years to come. Bo Burnham (happy to say I’ve met him) was most certainly the highlight for me and was best at representing the community at large.
